Cocopeat
is a proven natural alternative to mined peat moss, therefore
it can be slow down peat extraction from environmentally sensitive
swamps. This is used as a growing medium while cocopeat is
outperformed mostly the popular brands of peat and sphagnum
peat.
The production and use of cocopeat does not pose a threat
or any harm to other ecological systems as it is a totally
organic renewable resource. Using cocopeat will be helpful
to save precious water resources and decreases the use of
chemical nutrients in seedling and other activities. Cocopeat
is an excellent replacement for Rockwool for Hydroponic Growers,
with no harmful environmental disposal problems.
Usages and Applications of Cocopeat Multi-purpose
Growing Medium
Cocopeat is a multi purpose growing medium, that provides
new opportunities for:
* Potting Mix Suppliers
* Seedling Nurseries
* Hydroponic Growers
* Golf Green Constructors
* Distributors of Horticultural and Gardening Products
Cocopeat have been identified as a good form to be used in
seed raising and propagation mix around the world. All the
experiments done by scientists in identifying a better media
for growing purposes, have proven that coco peat with peat
moss is the better media for growing commercial vegetable
seedlings such as tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, cabbage, cauliflower,
egg plant, herbs, etc more than peat moss mixes. And also
it is highly used for potting soil mixer, landscaping etc.
The main advantages of coco peat are:
* There is better air fill porosity combined with similar
water holding to peat moss.
* Easy rewetting where peat is repel water when dry
* An affordable price for a quality product with an environmentally
sustainable
future.
* Coco peat can be used as a seed raising mix anywhere from
50% to 100%.
* It can be combined with any of the normal ingredients for
mixes.
i.e. perlite, vermiculite, washed sand, composted bark etc
(depending on specific crop requirements) Cocopeat PH is ideal
for seedling 5.8 - 6.5 pH use less liming than you would with
peat moss, which is much more acidic often around 4pH. It
is preferable to use gypsum or dolomite for Calcium. Plus
magnesium you must also add trace elements such as nitrogen,
phosphorus and sulfur (comes with Iron sulfate and single
super phosphate)
For an example, A mixture would be:
80% Cocopeat
10% fine perlite
10% vermiculite
Single Super phosphate 0.4Kg/m3
Calcium Nitrate 0.7 kg/m3
Magnesium Sulfate 0.4Kg/m3
Iron Sulfate heptahydrate 0.7kg/m3 or 0.4 of monohydrate
Copper Sulfate 0.02kg/m3
Liquid feed as required.

Coco peat will use
for your compost pile.
Coco peat can improve the composting process by speeding up
the decomposition. Water is retained by coco peat and reduces
the leaching of nutrients in the soil while it minimizes aborts
in the compost pile. Because of it's acidity coco peat will
trop and saves valuable nitrogen sources that are often last
from compost help as ammonia.
Coco peat makes your compost more effective as it works in
two different ways. Coco peat restructures the soil whereas
compost provides nutrients by blending the two where you can
reduce compost's tendency to compost the soil and thus allow
more water air and nutrients to reach plant roots. In addition
the coco peat and compost combination helps retain moisture
in garden beds. Allowing gardeners to water less frequently.
Coco peat also extends the life of compost in soil by four
to five times. It has a reliable pH ( 5.4 - 6.4) which is
environmentally friendly and free of insects, weeds, seeds,
salts, and chemicals and represents good value. Thus, It helps
as the ideal growing medium.
Coco peat use for your potting mixed.
If you use coco peat for your potting mixed it will be had
advance given below.
1) The valuable nitrogen is saved in coco
peat and moisture content is retained in your potting mix.
2) The volume should be expanded four to
five times from the first volume provided.
3) Easily growing root and good airiness
in your potting mix and lost aborts in your potting mixed.
4) Also, loosening mixed and easy handling
and packing by loose form or compressing bale.
